Navigationssoftware von Google

Google will Google Maps zur Navigationssoftware aufrüsten. Spätestens mit Android 2.0, welches im November erscheint, soll das neue Google Maps Navigation verfügbar sein. Laut Google werden auch aktuelle Trafficdaten wie z.B. Stauinformationen verfügbar sein. Wahrscheinlich wird das aber vorerst wie auch im aktuellen Google Maps nur in den USA funktionieren.

Es wird auch eine Version für das iPhone geben.

Für heute hat T-Mobile das Android 1.6 Update (Donut) für das T-Mobile G1 angekündigt.
Wir haben bisher noch kein OTA (Over The Air)-Update erhalten, wie sieht es mit euch aus?
Habt ihr heute schon das Update erhalten?

Geht mein neues Android-Handy (Pulse) trotz w-lan automatisch in internet??

ich brauche dringend eine Antwort auf die Frage: geht mein Handy ( Pulse) wirklich immer ins Internet obwohl ich w-lan eingeschaltet habe.
Hab noch keinen Datenvertrag!
Hab gerade mal alle Adressen und Telefonnummern eingetragen und über w-lan einige Apps installiert
und nun sind schon fast 100 Euro angefallen.
Hab gelesen das es ein Programm geben soll, das diese Automatik abstellt. IST DIE IRGEND Jemandem bekannt?

You may have heard that one of the key changes introduced in Android 1.6 is support for new screen sizes. This is one of the things that has me very excited about Android 1.6 since it means Android will start becoming available on so many more devices. However, as a developer, I know this also means a bit of additional work. That's why we've spent quite a bit of time making it as easy as possible for you to update your apps to work on these new screen sizes.

ADC 2 Round 1 Scoring Complete

The response to round one of the Android Developer Challenge 2 has been phenomenal! We originally expected that it would take two weeks to get all the necessary data to complete scoring. Over the last 10 days, more than 26,000 Android users reviewed and submitted our target of over 100 scores per application. With this enthusiastic support of the Android community, we are closing the first round of ADC 2 judging today.
